Frequently Asked Questions

What is patient advocacy?
Patient advocacy helps ensure your voice, concerns, priorities, and lived experience remain central to your healthcare. It supports informed participation, clearer communication, and greater confidence during appointments and medical decisions.
What is healthcare navigation?
Healthcare navigation brings greater structure to the moving pieces surrounding your care, including medical records, appointments, referrals, provider communication, questions, recommendations, and follow-up. It helps clarify what has happened, what remains unresolved, and what may need attention next.
Who can benefit from NaviCare's services?
NaviCare is ideal for individuals managing chronic conditions, complex health issues, or uncertain diagnoses. We are here for anyone who feels overwhelmed, unsupported, or confused by the healthcare system.
Can you assist with getting a second opinion or new diagnostics?
Yes! NaviCare can help guide you through the process of obtaining second opinions or exploring new diagnostic options. We’ll gather necessary medical records, research specialists, and ensure you have the information needed to make the best decisions for your health.
What we don't do-so you know what to expect.
While we provide a wide range of advocacy services, we do not offer home healthcare, medical, financial, or legal advice. Our role is to support you with trusted resources, clarify information, and guide you through your healthcare options.
How does the consultation process work?
During your initial, complimentary consultation, we’ll discuss your concerns and health goals to determine if our services are the right fit for you. If we decide to move forward, we'll schedule an intake assessment. All services beyond this consultation are offered on a retainer basis. During the intake assessment, we’ll conduct a initial review of your medical history, gather relevant records, and prioritize your health goals to create a tailored path forward.
Does insurance cover NaviCare services?
NaviCare is a private-pay service and does not bill health insurance. Clients may request an invoice for their records, but reimbursement is not guaranteed.
Are services provided virtually?
Yes. NaviCare provides fully remote support by phone or secure virtual meeting, allowing services to be accessed from wherever you are.
How does NaviCare protect your privacy and health information?
At NaviCare, we are deeply committed to protecting your privacy. We handle all personal health information with the utmost care and in full compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure your data remains secure at all times.
